Thanks again for another great write up. As a RR STH I follow all our boys who've been called up. I got to talk with Lawson on several occasions because of the incredible access Tucson provides to players. I support the RR auctions and whenever I would win a jersey, that player got called up so I rarely got to wear the jersey while the player was on the team. I loved watching when Crouse and Conor Garland played on the same line and would love to see them reunited. Crouse asked me to but his jersey so he could get called up. I made him promise to score lots of goals because I knew what he'd done as a kid. I won his jersey in a raffle and made sure he knew he was going up. He kept his promise.
Great insight. I have been so impressed at his steady improvement. Had the chance to play some holes with him at the annual golf event a few years ago. Absolutely great young man, lots of stories and laughs. I hope he keeps improving and finds a long term home on a top line.
As much trouble as he’s gotten the Coyotes into lately, I have got to give Chayka credit for the Crouse trade, just for a couple years of burying Bolland on LTIR. Absolute steal.
Good head on his shoulders and someone that the coyotes should want to keep in the fold long term. He may not hit Doan’s point totals, but I see him as a similar type player and a future leader of this team. Can’t beat his contract too. Keep working on the little things Lawson, it took Tom Wilson awhile before he started putting up decent points (just don’t turn towards the cheap play like him).
Great story ! We absolutely loved Lawson down here in Tucson. We needed a big man after Eric Selleck (#44 Magnum) left, and he filled that role perfectly !!

Crouse is another example of how pro athletes most times are good at all sports.
The Dbacks two years ago gave these guys those cheap skinny bats to use before Coyotes Night at Chase Field.
