Real life problems and life shortening illnesses make the day to day problems we face seem small and insignificant. Thanks for sharing with us, thanks to Leighton's parents for allowing us into their struggle. Thanks to Lyndsey for honoring a life.
Probably, the only article of yours that I couldn’t read but I’ll bet it was good.
Reading this would ruin the whole day.
Reading that Dbacks GM Mike Havens wife had the same cancer in the same place as my wife ruined my whole day.
The memories that cancer brings back. Even the quick flip through of this article and the picture of the hospital bed brings it all back.
When I took my wife back home from that group home in Mesa to Indiana it was the coldest day in Indiana history on the day of her burial. I couldn’t even find enough pall bearers. That’s what this disease does to those left behind. It kills them a little too.
This is really a great story Craig. Being a Coyotes fan, we obviously know the story behind Leighton. Also being a Blue Jays' fan, I know John Lott (before he retired) from The Athletic also wrote an article about Leighton due to her Dad's connection with the Blue Jays. Wondering if the Coyotes or the NHL can spread this story just beyond the hockey community to more people about this brave and beautiful girl!
Now that I have the tears under control..beautiful article about a beautiful child with a heart of gold. Her spirit and bright light keep shining down forever in our hearts. Thank you

The world was better for having Leighton in it and worse off for not having Leighton in it.
Now I am going to go cry.

Thanks, Craig for keeping Leighton in our hearts and on our minds today.
As a parent, brought me to tears reading of checking in on Leighton and she had passed. That is something I cannot even comprehend-
