I don't like stats mostly because I don't understand them (I majored in English for a reason). But I respect the hell out of anyone who does, and anyone who does the stuff Clay does just out of love and interest deserves real, sincere kudos.
Oh yeah, his zone entry/exit stats really do tell the tale of how the Coyotes did during a game. I'd love to see an analysis of the success rate of the powerplays when the Coyotes stack all of their players (and usually their defenders) at the opposing blue line and have the trailer attempt to make the zone entry through the crowd. That's one of the oddest powerplay tactics I've ever seen, and I'd love to see how its success rate compares to other methods.
